Moosic Borough respectfully requests residents follow the below for disposing of their property’s “yard waste”.
NO PLASTIC BAGS WILL BE PICKED UP
Yard Waste
Place no more than 40 pounds of lose yard waste in open 20-gallon barrels, recycling bins and biodegradable paper bags. Yard waste must be free of plastic, pet waste, and trash.
The following materials should be placed in open barrels, bins and biodegradable paper bags:
- Leaves
- Shrubbery clippings
- Plant debris from garden and flower beds
- Weeds
- Grass Clippings, which should be separate from all above
Please keep bags dry and do not over fill.
Biodegradable paper bags are available at hardware and larger department stores.
Tree Branches & Sticks
Branches should be no longer than 2 feet in length and no more that 2 inches in diameter.
Small branches and sticks should be bundled with rope or twine. No tape or wire.
Large Quantities of Yard Waste
When hiring a company for large-scale landscaping project, we request that residents utilize the company to dispose of the significant yard waste.
