Due to the increasing population of stray and/or feral cats within our community and to maintain the health and welfare of residents, Moosic Borough has adopted a Trap-Neuter-Release Program Ordinance for the humane treatment of these cats. The ordinance restricts the feeding of stray or feral cats and provides a TNR program where registered residents can trap, neuter, and release the stray or feral cat.
TRAP-NEUTER-RELEASE PROGRAM:
Moosic residents must register with the Borough’s TNR program for the sole purpose of sterilizing, vaccinating for rabies, and ear tipping feral or stray cats, in accordance with applicable federal and state law, and under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian. Complete the below form to register for the Moosic Borough TNR program.

Registered residents must provide the appropriate shelter and post-surgery recovery time before releasing the cat and will be reimbursed $50.00 for the cost of participation in the TNR program, by completing the below Reimbursement form and providing the appropriate payment receipt and required certificate from the licensed veterinarian for the procedures performed. The reimbursement is for neutering/spraying, ear tipping, rabies, and distemper shots.
