NerdWallet’s analysis looked at 145 places in Pennsylvania, each with a population of at least 5,000, then calculated the overall score for each location based on the business climate and economic health using data from the U.S. Census Bureau Moosic Borough has placed 2^nd for the best places to start a business in Pennsylvania.  In Moosic, about 11 businesses per 100 people see an average annual revenue at just over $3 million. Some of the key retail and entertainment attractions include the Cinemark 20 and XD Movie Theater and the Shoppes at Montage, as well as baseball games at PNC Field, home of the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, the Triple-A affiliate of the New York Yankees. The Greater Northeast Chamber of Commerce is in Moosic and serves Luzerne and Lackawanna counties.
